Winter Master Bedroom

Hello Dear Readers!

As soon as the Christmas trees came down, I fluffed the Great Room for Winter Decor,

doing the usual of changing out pillows on the chairs and sofa and transitioning

the mantel from Christmas to a mantel of Winter decor and adding accessories

that will create a cozy ambience for winter.

Being that we are currently in a rental home, a.k.a. The Berry Patch House,

I am careful  not to purchase new things, unless they fit the requirement of versatility

throughout the house and do I really need it!

So as far as pillows go, I reached into my stash and gathered pillows for cozy winter decor.

In the meantime, rather than putting away the “Christmas” pillows  from the Great Room,

I shuffled them to another room. Love how you can use pillows for more than one season

and in other rooms too!

So where did they land?

THE WINTER MASTER BEDROOM

Being that we are in “transition” I am trying  to make sure that anything fabric related

that I purchase now is neutral. That being the case with the Christmas pillows,

it was very easy to transition them into the Master Bedroom.

All of the bedding and pillows are from Pottery Barn purchased during their sales.

However,  the throw  was purchased during my trip to France  years ago

at a fabulous French marketplace.

I have come to the conclusion that for all future pillow purchases,

my rule is that they would have to be able to go into any room in the house.

So I guess you know how my future color palette will be . . . very neutral.

I will add my pops of color and pattern with pillows, art work, and accessories.

The pair of chairs are the chairs that were in the dining room of my former home.

They did not fit very well in the Berry Patch dining room.

Opening up the blinds in the morning is truly one of the great starts to my day,

especially when the Carolina Blue skies are shining bright.

Plants seem to be happy in this room where there is abundant natural light.

The bird cage made a comeback to this corner after the Christmas tree was packed away.

Blue and white accessories remain on the dresser.

Did I mention that this bedroom set will be in my Sweetie’s room in the new house?

It will be a welcome challenge to create a room for a teenager with very traditional furnishings.

She is quite the talented artist, so I know that working with her decorating her new room

at Grandma’s and Pop’s will be fun.

I wish you all a most beautiful day!!
